Ottawa Japanese Community Association & Cultural Centre

We are once again organizing Natsu Matsuri this year and this time, we want YOUR help!
We want to take this opportunity to highlight our community’s talent and so, have decided to host a Natsu Matsuri poster contest!
As 2026 is the Ottawa Japanese Community Association’s 50th anniversary, the theme for the poster is “Celebrating our Community“!
Entry is very easy:
1. Please check the details in the entry form below button.
2. Submit your entry via the form by May 4, 2026 @ NOON
3. Wait for the results!
This winning poster will be the face of Natsu Matsuri 2026 and will be used throughout the festival.
While open to all, submissions that reflect a connection to Japanese heritage or culture will be given favourable consideration in judging.
Open to all ages! (Parent/Guardian permission required for entrants under 19).
We look forward to seeing your submissions!

Join us for a workshop on making three types of kimono cards, led by instructor Nora Nishikawa.
Date: Sunday, February 8 (in case of inclement weather, the workshop will be held on February 15th instead.)
