Three lucky winners will be selected at random to receive some fun prizes courtesy of the OJCC!

B. Mochi pounding

Get them in-person at the OJCC booth at the OJCA-OJCC Mochitsuki: Sunday, December 10 (noon – 4 p.m.)

2. Colour, colour, colour

3. Take a picture of it!

Ottawa Japanese Cultural Activities Guide – Spring-Summer 2023 edition

The Ottawa Japanese Community Association (OJCA) is excited to bring you the Spring/Summer 2023 edition of the activities guide!

Want to know what’s going on in our Ottawa Japanese community? Check out the Ottawa Japanese Cultural Activities Guide for classes and workshops offered by various groups and individuals in the National Capital Region.

Due to the impacts of the pandemic certain details such as dates and locations are still to be determined.

Frozen Mochi Available for Purchase this Holiday Season

Although there will be no in-person Mochitsuki event this year, frozen Mochi has been lovingly prepared by volunteers and will be available to OJCA members!!  Kirimochi (cut mochi) will be kept frozen for you to pick-up. 


Special price: $6 for a bag of 8 pieces (a $9 value!). As a bonus, the first 20 people to order will also receive a complimentary gift. 

To order: Please complete the Frozen Mochi Order Form and follow the instructions for payment. Payments need to be by INTERAC e-transfer to ojca.treasurer@gmail.com 

Deadline for orders: December 6, 2021, or while quantities last.

Pick-up address: Ottawa Japanese Cultural Centre (OJCC), 2285 St. Laurent Blvd. unit B16. 

Pick-up will be 

November 27. Sat. (10 am – 2pm), 28. Sun. (Noon – 4 pm) and December 9 Thu.(6 – 9 pm). OJCC Crafts will also be available for sale on these dates.

Physical-distancing measures will be in place. Please wear a mask.
