The Fall 2023-Winter 2024 edition of the Ottawa Japanese Activities Guide is out! The Activities Guide is the go-to place for information about classes and workshops related to Japanese culture or offered in Japanese being organized by different groups and individuals in the National Capital Region.
Come down to Jambican Studio Gardens (2969 River Road RR#3) in Manotick, Sunday, Sept 17 from 11 am-3 pm for a day of family fun activities!
Owners Kumiko Watanabe and Colin Samuels, in partnership with the OJCA-OJCC, are pleased to invite you to their farm for their first-ever Family Activity Day!

Dr. Akira Brian Yamashita and Ms. Melisa Miharu Kamibayashi-Staples for their outstanding contributions to the Japanese community in Ottawa.
This past Thursday, August 31st, a large group of community members were invited to the Ambassador and Mrs. Yamanouchi’s residence to witness the conferment ceremony of this prestigious award upon our beloved community leaders Brian and Melisa.
After kind and thoughtful words from the Ambassador, Brian and Melisa each gave wonderful speeches, sharing credit for their accomplishments with our community. These speeches were followed up by a wonderful tribute from former OJCA President Sachiko Okuda and a classy toast from Ron Shigeishi.

This Natsu matsuri will take place on Sunday, July 9th 11am-4pm again as last year, at Annie Pootoogook Park : 250 Somerset St. E, Ottawa, ON, K1N 6V6, behind the Sandy Hill Community Centre
