Edamame Harvest Festival at Jambican Studio Gardens

Come celebrate the harvest and the communities that grow together with Jambican Studio Gardens (C.K. Samuels) this September!

Date: September 20, 2026

Time: 11 am – 3 pm

Venue: Jambican Studio Gardens (2969 River Road, Manotick, ON)

There will be music performances, local food & artisans, and wellness products for sale! 

Please bring your own utensils and containers to eliminate waste! As it has been raining a lot,  please bring boots or sturdy shoes when visiting Jambican Farm. Please contact jambikumi@gmail.com for any questions

Introductory “Make and Take” Sashiko Embroidery Workshop with Shino-san

Date: Sunday, Sept. 27th from 1 – 3 p.m.

Place: Ottawa Japanese Cultural Centre

This two-hour introductory workshop covers the Japanese technique of sashiko stitching.  Participants will each be making a set of four beautiful coasters as shown in the photo.  All materials and equipment needed will be provided at the class and participants will take home their coasters.

Please register by Friday September 25th on Communal ojca-ojcc.getcommunal.com to hold your spot as class size is limited to 12 participants.

Fee:

For OJCA-OJCC members, registration is $8, and $15 for non-members. 

In addition to your registration fee, there is a $35 workshop fee payable in cash to Shino-san when you come to class.
